Overview:
Oxidil 250mg IM Injection contains Ceftriaxone, used to treat severe infections, including respiratory, genitourinary, bone, joint, abdominal infections, sepsis, and bacterial meningitis. This formulation is administered intramuscularly for localized treatment.
Uses:
Treats severe respiratory and genitourinary infections
Effective against bone and joint infections, abdominal infections, sepsis, and bacterial meningitis
Side Effects:
Common: Injection site reactions (pain, swelling), rash, diarrhea
Less Common: Nausea, vomiting, headache
Rare: Severe allergic reactions, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
Precautions:
Inform your doctor if you have a history of allergies to antibiotics, especially cephalosporins
